I have been a sewer and maker as long as I can remember. I have participated in numerous shows, including Seasonal Wrapsody in the past. Since retirement 4 years ago, my focus has changed to creating more items by repurposing fabrics and paper into handmade journals, greeting cards, needle books, etc. I do still love to sew, and enjoy making project and zippered bags, that are not only attractive, but useful. Many of my sewn items include a mix of new and vintage materials. The handmade "junk" journals are one of my favourite things to create. They are truly a mixture of vintage, new, dyed papers along with snippets of vintage lace and ephemera. These journals have been well received, many being used as
wedding guest books, special occasion gifts and appreciated for the repurposing of an old book, otherwise destined for recycling.
