News - Maplegrove Farm Easter Event

We had a great day today at Maplegrove Farm Market, in spite of the varying weather conditions.

The crowds were big and there was lots of interest in what we were doing.
We spoke to many interesting people and raised some awareness of spinning and weaving and the processing of wool.
It was particularly fun to engage so many young people.

We featured several of our spinners who had a variety of wheels, Weavers demonstrated on a rigid heddle loom and on the Dorothy
tableloom. Visitors of all ages tried their hand at weaving on the table loom and it was a pleasure to see them feel proud of a new skill that they learned.

All day long we heard the cutest little 5 day old lambs bleating , and there were baby chicks and bunnies to charm the visitors.

The egg drop from the drones was fun and families seemed to be really enjoying that.

Thanks our member volunteers, for this opportunity to promote the guild and share our skills with the public.
