Celebrating Canada Parks Day: July 20, 2024
The Guild's regular meetings fall on the third Saturday of the month. Luckily, the third Saturday in July conveniently falls on Canada Parks Day. We had an informal gathering in Riverdale Park, Alliston, beside the Museum on the Boyne. It was lovely weather and a great day to be outside. Several members brought spinning wheels and others worked on varied fibre art projects. It was a beautiful setting, sitting next to the museum and the 1865 log cabin. Spinning and fibre work would have probably been a familiar task to the original owners of this log cabin. It is wonderful to keep these skills alive and to share them with the community.
