News - It's a wrap!

Seasonal Wrapsody is all wrapped up for another year and what a gift it was for the guild. After three years of steadily building our reputation, SW#4 gave us a taste of what our efforts can accomplish.
This year we had to turn vendors away. Our space was filled to capacity with beautiful merchandise and it was breathtaking.
Vendors comments were very positive. Many mentioned the signage around the Gibson Centre and the roads leading to it, the quality of the products being sold, the atmosphere and also how organized and how well run SW was.
George mentioned that he met many first time visitors from as far south as Mississauga and as far north as Hanover.
Both vendors and shoppers were impressed by the first floor educational display and many took advantage of our Globe catered cafe. Big thank you to Ann for organizing and running the cafe and to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly at their various posts.
SW#4 started as a vision in Chair Joan's imagination. She wanted the rooms to be full so she pushed for more vendors. Her goal was to make a profit so she pursued the idea of a raffle and the Globe catered cafe. She wanted to educate the public because it is part of our constitution to provide outreach to the community at large.
When very few members signed up to perform specific jobs, there was no panic. Jobs were assigned as volunteers showed up. Everything ran smoothly. The only stressful part was packing up and leaving at the allotted time.
So, many thanks, Joan. You reached your goal to make SW#4 a profitable venue. Our meeting place is secure. We really appreciate all that you have done and are looking forward to a bigger and better and more innovative Seasonal Wrapsody #5. No pressure!
